Data Lead - Lindab

As our new Data Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing this platform, building high-quality pipelines, and contributing hands-on within our BI & Data team.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, HR, R&D and more—translating complex business needs into clear, actionable and high-impact data solutions. You will define our data architecture, ensure data quality and governance, and drive adoption of reliable, well-structured data across the entire organization.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of Lindab’s global data architecture, with a clear focus on scalability, reliability, and modern Microsoft technologies.
- Define data models, metadata structures, data catalogues, and documentation standards to build a future-proof data environment.
- Act as technical lead for the BI/Data team, guiding architectural direction and hands-on development.
- Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and dataflows using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL, Python, and related tools.
- Integrate and transform data from a wide range of sources, including ERP (D365 F&O), sustainability systems, HR platforms, manufacturing systems, and IoT sensor data.
- Translate complex business needs into high-quality, practical data solutions together with stakeholders across the organization.
- Support key initiatives such as ERP rollouts, sustainability reporting with regulatory requirements, Smart Ventilation product data, and global HR analytics.
- Package and deliver data for consumption—dashboards, reports, datasets, or embedded data outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, consistency, and security across all systems, implementing governance and access management.
- Coordinate and distribute development tasks within the team, guiding BI Developers and fostering best practices.
- Serve as the main technical representative of Lindab’s BI/Data function toward the business.
- Coach and support team members and business users to ensure understanding, adoption, and value realization.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the data function.
Previous Experience & Competencies
- 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or data architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and data models.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Azure, SQL, and ideally Microsoft Fabric.
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing, data modelling, and modern data platform concepts.
- Experience integrating complex business systems, including ERP solutions such as D365 F&O.
- Solid understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and security practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
