Position Overview
ZetaDisplays rapid growth, driven by acquisitions across multiple countries, has resulted in a diverse landscape of IT systems, tools, and processes. The IT Director plays a pivotal role in streamlining these aspects, fostering synergies, and enhancing team efficiency and security from a comprehensive IT standpoint. The overarching objective is to establish a modern and cohesive tech environment, building upon the foundation laid by our former IT Director but requiring further development.
The IT Director will craft an agile IT strategy aligned with our business objectives, blending strategic vision with hands-on operational involvement. This role demands flexibility, necessitating a balance between strategic thinking and direct engagement in day-to-day tasks.
A significant focus of the role involves designing and implementing long-term tech solutions and data organization strategies. This includes simplifying our current array of systems into modern, interconnected platforms, expediting enterprise discussions, and providing comprehensive oversight across setup, system architecture, business intelligence, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities and primary tasks
Team Management & Planning
- Develop and implement an IT roadmap aligned with business objectives/needs.
- Create and present roadmap for IT projects and initiatives to Zeta Leadership Team, ensuring scalability and full testing of recommendations.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk management, and implementation requirements.
- Lead a distributed team of 3 - 5 IT professionals, providing clear direction, accountability, and measurable goals.
- Demonstrate leadership aligned with ZetaDisplay’s High Performance Behaviours, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
Budget and Purchases:
- Manage and monitor the IT department’s annual budget to ensure alignment with business and strategic priorities.
- Lead technology purchases from inception to implementation, collaborating with partners and vendor negotiation.
Operational
- Lead and actively participate in the procurement of IT systems, ensuring vendor selection and solution design support business goals.
- Lead and contribute to inter-departmental initiatives involving integrations between systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and data consistency.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead the operational tasks of the IT team, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Personally execute key operational tasks when required, maintaining hands-on engagement and technical oversight.
Infrastructure Management and IT Support:
- Execution of infrastructure projects, managing technology infrastructure for reliability and uptime.
- Oversee maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure the IT support function is modern, efficient, and fully aligned with the needs of the business.
- Be driven by key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and maintained.
- Promote user awareness and provide training where appropriate to support a secure and stable IT environment.
Design and Implementation of Enterprise Systems:
- Design and implement ZetaDisplays enterprise system and data architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to select suitable systems, ensuring compliance, security, and data integrity.
- Oversee implementation process to ensure standards are met. Deliver projects such as data management and system integrations.
Information Security and Compliance:
- Establish information security procedures, including risk assessment, mitigation, and disaster recovery.
- Implement systems monitoring to safeguarding against potential threats. Ensure best practices in security and disaster recovery processes.
- Co-lead the delivery of ISO27001 certification.
Team Development:
- Ensure IT support staff have the necessary skills and training to deliver world-class end-user support.
- Recruit and mentor high-performing IT professionals over time.
- Foster continuous learning and development within the IT department.
- Support and act as point of escalation for complex issues from IT support.
Additional tasks:
- Fulfill common tasks as required to support team and organizational objectives.
- Act as the most senior technical point of escalation, you will possess expert level hands-on experience.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
Education/Training
- University degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) field.
Experience
- Proven track record in a similar capacity, with demonstrated responsibility for deploying and administering enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience across diverse IT disciplines such as systems architecture, technology infrastructure, information security, CRM and user support.
- Experience in analyzing, implementing, and evaluating IT systems, tools, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in IT Strategy development and budget management.
- Demonstrated success and experience in leading IT transformation initiatives.
Skills
- Proficient in designing enterprise systems and data architecture, striking a balance between strategic foresight and rapid deployment.
- Experience in management and coaching, coupled with the ability to be hands-on when necessary.
Language
- Proficient in English, fluency in Swedish would be a bonus.
Meriting Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Business Intelligence (BI), and HubSpot platforms is advantageous.

Working Conditions
- Travel: Some travel will be required - HQ offices based in Malmo.
- Remote work: We provide a certain degree of flexibility in accordance with the Work from Office Policy, but as a leader, you are expected to work majority of the time at the office.
